The told me to be like the wind

Always by your side

They told me to be like the wind

Spread my wings and fly

They told me to be like the ocean

Coming in with the tide

They told me to be like the ocean

Arms open wide

They told me to be like the river

Always passing by

They told me be like the river

I shouldn’t run and hide

But I can’t change

There’s something holding me back

I can’t change

There’s something I can’t let go

But I can’t change

Can’t divert from this track

I can’t change

No no

I can’t change

I am not who I say I am but who my writing says I am; my characters define me. Like puppets in a play, they tell you who pulls the strings. I'm not who I say I am; I'm who you think I am.

  1. There’s always a dance with the resistance to change or not to change. Sometimes change is what is needed then there are times change is not necessary. Knowing when to or not to is the key.
