The House Beside The Lake

There was once a house beside a lake

And there was once a man beside the house

The man used to go fishing at the lake

Then tender to the garden behind his house

The House Beside The Lake

There was once a house beside a lake

Beautifully made, magnificently constructed

But over time the house began to fade

Until it didn’t look like the same house that was constructed

The House Beside The Lake

There was once a young man

You built a house beside a lake

And everyday, in the lake he swam

At exactly 5am he would wake

The House Beside The Lake

But overtime a legend grew

That the house was a monster

The man was a ghost

The lake was a grave

But even though the man knew

He still tell his house that he loved her

He would still at dinner make a toast

Until he himself went to the grave

And he buried with himself the secret of the house

The secret that he kept each day

The house was his spouse
