The Jump

I sit and stare

I’m wondering; how in hell do I get there

There’s tension in the air

I want to be anywhere apart from here

I look at The Jump

The crowd has grown larger

I look at them with discardure

My enemies and allies; one big merger

Like I had just committed perjure

They are beneath The Jump

But I ignore them; they’re out of my mind

Steeling myself I close my eyes

I know its crazy; going in blind

But I wouldn’t do this if I was sane, would I?

I brace for The Jump

Without warning I’m in the air

Moving in the wind like a flare

Red shirt and pants flying everywhere

But I don’t care

I took The Jump

I took the jump
