I don’t want to remember

The good times that we had

I don’t want to recall

The times that you made me glad

I just sitting right here

My soul filled with regret

Some people drink to remember

But I’m drinking to forget

I don’t want to remember

The way you liked to smile

I don’t want to recall

What it is that made it all worthwhile

And I’m filled with anguish

Despair and regret

Alone and by myself

I’m drinking to forget

To forget those precious memories

To forget those good times

Because it’s hurting; destroying me

That he’s by your side

So I’m alone in this bar

Just after midnight

A lonely beggar

Looking for some love tonight

Made some mistakes

A lot that I’ll regret

But you are the only one

That I may never forget
