In Isolation

I walk through the pathway; I’ve been walking for quite a while now. I am confused at times. Should I sound? Should I echo? I do not know; I’ve have lost all sense of time and space. I thought that it would be a short distance but after circling for the umpteenth time I exclaimed “I knew it! That I don’t know! I don’t know the path!”. I was well and truly lost.

It wasn’t long until I got to the host; I may have spent months in there (probably a couple of hours). Upon seeing me a entered a fit of laughter. I questioned him and interrogated him but he just laughed the more. “One does not need to know everything,” he said, “You need not answer all the questions! You can just laugh and laugh again.” I was furious now but I couldn’t do anything. I tried to think but all I came up with was that I would like a hamburger right now. Thoughts – they do what we don’t ask for! At times, we pretend to think on one and actually think everything else! Defeated a went back from whence I came.
