The trumpet was loud

Almost as loud as her talking

But I had to smile

While we continued walking

She was beautiful and strong

My kind of woman

She made me belong

Well I’m only human

She was loud, she was brassy

I was young and I was free

She was nice and a bit a sassy

But she was the best of me

We lived a life together

We smiled through it all

We lasted forever

Winter, summer, spring and fall
